peCHECK Solids, Level 1

peCHECK are cost effective performance evaluation standards for routine analysis compliance testing. Performance evaluation control standard are available for minerals, nutrients, and solids in water and wastewater matrices and are certified through a comprehensive round-robin study providing independent verification from multiple laboratories.

  • Cost effective to allow for an increased monitoring schedule
  • Wide mouth bottles for easy transfer and use – just dilute to volume
  • Each lot manufactured in large volume for long-term use of the same control limits
  • 3 concentration levels available
  • Includes Certificate of Analysis listing Consensus Values, Confidence and Tolerance Intervals, and Instructions for Use - complete documentation for audit purposes

peCHECK  Solids, Level 1 is a Performance Evaluation Standard for analysis of solids in drinking water, groundwater, surface water and waste water. It is specifically designed for periodic quality control verification and method development for water analyses of the listed parameters. Not intended for calibration.

Expiry: 2 years from date of shipment

peCHECK Performance Evaluation Standards are available for the determination of Nutrients, Solids and Minerals and at 3 different concentration levels.

Unit Size: 1

This Performance Evaluation Standard is in the form of a concentrate prepared by weight and does not require digestion. Dilute to 1L before use. The final solution is a suspension.

Typical values:

Parameter Unit Consensus Value Confidence Interval Tolerance Interval
Suspended Solids mg/l 209 206 - 212 181 - 236
Dissolved Solids mg/l 34.5 32.3 - 36.7 19.5 - 49.5
Total Solids mg/l 238 231 -244 194 -282

These values were the result of an inter-laboratory study involving 13 international laboratories. Each laboratory was asked to supply analysis data for a specific list of elements. Not all the laboratories supplied data for the different parameters.

A gravimetric method was used for all three parameters by the participating laboratories.
